Buttock augmentation

Augmentation Gluteoplastia

The Buttocks play an important role in the female silhouette. The prominence of the buttocks and the sinuosity created between the waist and hips are the main feature of female contour.
The female silhouette is based on curves lines, balanced with rounded volumes. In other words, the waist and hips are proportional and buttocks are prominent.
Adding shape and definition to the buttocks or elevation of the buttocks when the tissues have lost their consistency, is a frequent procedure that allows the enhancement of the body contour.

Indications

Buttock augmentation is indicated for women and men who want to improve their body contour.

Among them can be enhancement:

– Flaccidity in the thigh.
– People who are not completely satisfied with the size/form of their buttocks.
– Recover buttocks volume and form after weight loss, from the passage of time or pregnancy.

First Visit

A personal visit is the first step for any woman who is thinking about a buttock augmentation.

Dr. Saez will ask about your general health and what your expectations are.

From an individualized evaluation Dr. Saez will explain the technique and the results that can be achieved by surgery.

Procedure

There are two main basic techniques:
1. Highlight Liposculpting and Lipo Fat Transfer (The Brazilian Butt Lift technique).
2. Buttocks implants

Highlight Liposculpting and Lipo Fat Transfer (The Brazilian Butt Lift technique).
90% of the cases are done by transferring patient’s own fat obtained from the high definition waist and hip liposculpture.
Buttocks are remodelled into a natural looking, shape and size, enhancing the body contour while rejuvenating the figure.
• This operation is usually performed under local anaesthesia and sedation on an outpatient basis (in other words, hospitalization is usually not necessary).
• The operation usually lasts between 1 and 2 hours.

Buttocks implants
In some cases the gluteal implants is the only way to achieve the necessary remodelling and the projection desired.
Through a small incision that is hidden in the intergluteus fold, implants are placed in the intramuscular plane.
This operation is usually performed under local anaesthesia (epidural) and sedation on an outpatient basis (in other words, hospitalization is usually not necessary).
• The operation usually lasts between 1 and 2 hours.

Post-op care

Although each person’s recovery is different, it is common to follow the next steps:
After the operation the usual stay at the clinic is 3 or 4 hours, thereafter the patient can be discharged.

THE FIRST DAY:
It is advisable to rest in bed or on the sofa. You should not manipulate the bandage.

DURING THE FIRST WEEK:
• The bandage will be removed after 3 or 4 days, and you will have to wear a compression garment.
• You can progressively start to work and return to normal activity in 3 or 4 days.
• Inflammation will gradually decrease.

AFTER THE FIRST WEEK:
• The stitches will be removed.

AFTER THE FIRST MONTH:
• Inflammation will reduce and you will start to see more defined final results.
• You can stop wearing the compression garment.
• You can do more vigorous exercises.

BUTTOCKS IMPLANTS: The sutures will be removed in 15 days and you can start doing more vigorous exercises a month after the operation.

Results

This intervention provides a great improvement in body contouring, enhancing the buttocks into a natural looking, voluptuous shape and size, giving patients more fulfilment with their new image.

The results achieved are maintained for many years. However, you must remember that your body is not immune to the effects of fluctuations in weight or age.

It is advisable to take care of skin by moisturising, and make some physical exercise.
